02/07/2012 - Encore Senior Adult Ministry Bible Study
Encore,' the Senior Adult Ministry program of First Baptist Church, will have a 15-week, in-depth Bible Study entitled, 'What Can We Learn From the Book of James?' Tuesday mornings at 9:15 beginning Tuesday, February 7 in the First Baptist Church parlor, 1401 S. Covell Avenue in Sioux Falls. Each seventy-five-minute session will be co-led by Pastor Steve Young and layleader Phyllis Schrag. All participants are asked to bring a three-ring notebook with loose-leaf paper or a spiral notebook, several pens, and a ready mind for learning and discussion. First Baptist Church of Madison, SD will be conducting the Alpha Course Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:15 beginning January 18. Alpha is a 15-session video/discussion series on the basic tenets of the faith. It is non-denominational, and is good for individuals who are curious about faith in Jesus Christ, new believers in Jesus Christ, and those who have been in the faith for a while. Katelyns Fund~Orphan Ministry monthly adoption support meeting will be Thursday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Orange City Area Health System Physical Therapy Office. Bev Noelk, a physical therapist from Orange City, Iowa will share about Sensory Processing Disorder, offering information, insight, and tools for families to utilize. Anyone is welcome to attend. Faith Family Church will have a 'Making Marriage Fun Again' marriage conference Friday, February 10 beginning with registration at 6:30 p.m. and continuing Saturday, February 11 beginning at 9:00 a.m. This conference is designed to strengthen and rebuild the love, romance, and relationship that was once (or still may be) the foundation for your life's dream of wedded bliss. However, the busyness of life, career demands, financial pressures and family responsibility can, and oftentimes does, take over and smother the very thing you need to keep your marriage strong.
