Global Conference to Address Evangelism, Social Issues

SOUTH AFRICA (MNN) – In October, 4000 people from over 200 countries will meet in Capetown, South Africa for the Lausanne Missions Conference. Only 400 of them will be from the United States. The Lausanne movement was started by Billy Graham in 1974 to discuss the challenge of global evangelization. This year delegates will also discuss extreme poverty and sex trafficking. The conference is scheduled for October 16-25. Some of the conference will be broadcast “on line”
