Bill Pearce, “Nightsounds” host dies at 83.
By admin • Feb 27th, 2010 • Category: UncategorizedUNDATED (FR) – The host of the late night radio program “Nightsounds” has died. Bill Pearce was 83. He died from complications of Parkinson’s disease. Pearce worked at WMBI in Chicago for 25 years.
He sang with Dick Anthony, the Melody Four Quartet and the 16 Singing Men. Doc Severson, band leader of the Tonight Show, said Bill Pearce was one of the best trombonists he knew. In 1992 Bill Pearce was inducted into the National Religious Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame. “Nightsounds” is broadcast each weeknight on more than 300 radio outlets across the country.
