The chairman of the Christian Film and Television Commission, MOVIEGUIDE publisher Ted Baehr, hosted the award ceremony Tuesday night in Beverly Hills. One of this year’s big winners was “The Blind Side.” The hit movie starring Sandra Bullock was named this year’s best film for mature audiences, and also won the Epiphany Prize for best film. The Epiphany Prize for Television went to “Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story.”
Each Epiphany Prize is worth $100,000.
The award for best family film went to “Up” — the animated story of a lonely widower and a fatherless boy. Baehr says he considers it one of the greatest films “that’s ever been made.”
