“Joni and Friends” Turns 30

One of their best known programs is the “Wheels for the World” campaign. The ministry has distributed 85,000 wheelchairs to disabled people in poor nations. Physical therapists who travel with Joni and hand fit the wheelchairs to disabled children and adults with special needs. Joni, who turns 60 years old this month, was paralyzed from her neck down by a diving accident at the age of 17.
